Maintenance and Replacement of Electromagnetic Valve of Vacuum Oil Filter

2019/8/1??????view:

Maintenance of the solenoid valve of the vacuum oil filter. This component is mounted on the pump. Its air ballast is driven by the solenoid valve for 24VDC.

When the air ballast valve is opened and operates at normal temperature, SOGEVAC's capacity of pumping steam can reach the maximum water vapor resistance in the technical parameters for pure water vapor. When the working temperature rises, the vapor limit of the pump also increases.

Open the air ballast valve with a single screw batch. When the ballast valve is opened, the noise of the pump increases slightly. Before the pump is ready to extract steam, the air ballast valve must be opened under the closure of the intake port, and the pump will run for about 30 minutes to preheat.

  Important Notes

Only when the pump is preheated to the working temperature can the inlet valve be opened to extract condensable steam, because the process gas pumped by the cold pump will condensate the steam into the oil.

In the process of high content condensing steam evacuation, the intake pipe should be opened slowly after the working temperature is reached to prevent excessive steam from entering the pump.

One of the phenomena of steam condensation in pumps is the increase of oil level during pump operation.

During the evacuation process, the steam can be dissolved in the oil. This will change the characteristics of oil and cause pump corrosion. Therefore, do not stop the pump immediately after the end of the pumping process. Instead, the intake pipeline is closed to allow the pump to continue operating under the open air ballast until there is no condensate gas in the oil. We recommend that it should run in this way for about 30 minutes after the end of the evacuation process.

  Be careful:

In the process of cyclic evacuation, do not stop the pump during the gap between the two evacuation processes, but should close the intake port, perhaps through the valve to achieve. Open the ballast valve to keep it running.

When the pump operates under the limit pressure, the power consumption is very small.

Once all the steam is removed from the process (e.g. vacuum drying), the air ballast valve can be closed to improve the limit pressure.

  Cyclic work

We emphasize that to limit the number of pump start-ups, it should be 5 or 6 times per hour.

If the process requires periodic operation, we recommend the use of pneumatic solenoid valve control, so that the pump works continuously.

In general, the pump should be stopped after all the work is completed.

The inlet of SOGEVAC is equipped with an anti-return oil valve. When the pump is powered off, it closes the inlet, thus keeping the connected system vacuum and preventing oil from returning to the system. Gas ballast does not hinder the function of the valve.

When the condensable medium is exhausted, the air ballast valve should be opened before the pump is powered off, and the intake pipe should be closed to allow the pump to continue to operate (see Section 2.5.2).

  warning

If the pump has to be stopped for a long time or if it has to be stored, please follow the following steps.

When evacuating harmful substances, appropriate safety measures should be taken.

Fill in clean oil to the lower edge of the oil level observation window and let the pump run for a few minutes.

Then the oil is released, and the clean oil is poured into the upper edge of the oil level observation window.

Close the connection. No anti-corrosion oil is required.

  warning

When the pump is powered off due to overheating caused by the motor or its temperature detector, the pump must be cooled to the ambient temperature and the cause of overheating can be eliminated before starting manually again.

After power failure, in order to prevent accidental start of the pump, the pump must be connected with a control system so that it can only be started by manual switch. This is also applicable to emergency circuit breakers.

If switching the process related to the preheated pump under working conditions, remember that the pump can not be started directly again.

  Limit pump pressure

If the system can not meet the pressure specified in the technical data, the pump will be removed from the system and the limit pressure will be measured directly at the pump suction port.

The limit pressure (air partial pressure) of non-condensable gases can only be measured with a compressed vacuum gauge or a pressure gauge. Accurate measurement data can only be obtained with calibrated instruments.

When the pump is first started after a long period of idleness or oil replacement, it will take some time to reach the prescribed limit pressure. Because the pump must reach its working temperature, the pump oil must be degassed. We recommend opening the air ballast valve for the first start-up pump.

Limit pressure depends on pump temperature and the pump oil used. Using the recommended oil, the best limit pressure can be obtained at low pump temperature.
